ABSTRACT

2013 is the actual years when I start attracted with anime world. It’s start when my classmate suggest me to watch one of them because they realize that I fancy of dolls and languages ( mastered all the languages around the world is one of my passion ) ,they said that I can learn Japanese language from it. Eventually I fall in love with them,for so many reason.
There’s about 2.8 million people around the world loves anime,and some of them are lovers to the highest level. Well I’m not going to explain to the very specific way about ”Otaku” Things,let’s see it as something with a good perspective,and I consider there’s nothing wrong with everybody hobbies as long it’s not impend anyone else.

The Tokyo district of Akihabara is the main center of otaku culture. Not only is the district filled with stores selling anime DVDs and videos, but it also has coffee shops and other businesses catering to the otaku set. One such business, for example, is the "maid cafe," in which the waitresses are dressed in elaborate anime-inspired maid uniforms. The cafes have been enjoying brisk business.

A study suggests that sales of the objects that inspire moe - such as comic books, video games, and anime DVDs - have become so great that their positive impact on the Japanese economy can no longer be ignored. Behind the upsurge is the otaku penchant for amassing vast collections of the products they like and their willingness to spend huge sums in doing so. The Nomura Research Institute in August 2004 put the number of otaku in Japan at 2.85 million, accounting for a market estimated at ¥290 billion ($2.5 billion at ¥110 to the dollar). In April 2005, the Hamagin Research Institute reckoned the market for moe-related content was worth ¥88.8 billion ($807 million) in 2003.

Moe- character or Anime in global word,become one of the horse runner of Japanese economy which it’s mean the anime also one of booster that can make Japan can stand still as one of developed country. Since I divine about how much potential that we can get,once we try to build a business according to our own hobby (especially anime lovers in this case),the idea of getting profits or even franchise from this realm can be prosfer.

MATTERS

_____ People know Doraemon,it is one of anime character that already famous in Indonesia. Everyone know him, blue robot cat without ear,with red nose and tail and also his special magic pocket which can give Nobita 21 century technology things, no matter how old they are since we remember how long Doraemon exist in Indonesia yet. We also can see how much products that appears with doraemon printing in it.This is one example about how could be very profitable is,the product that consist with anime things.
If one of you want to try to build a business according your hobby with anime,the anime sector already give you so many options to take,from small scale of business to the large level.

Moves the Akihabara to Indonesia

_____ All of you must be realize that I didn’t mean it as we ‘move’ the distric of Akihabara to Indonesia.Such I already mention before,the point of view about Akihabara is very interesting,in economical ways.About $2 million spent per days only at the shopping center ( not including accommodation fee got by the International turism) in Akihabara. The main area of Akihabara is located on a street just west of Akihabara Station, where most of the major shops are situated. The anime and manga shops and the cosplay cafés are north of the station.
I also realize that,attempt to build a country or distric as Akihabara such a uncountable idea. Then,what about copying the idea of Akihabara anime and manga shopping center?. Too many mall in Indonesia with the same contents and brand which it’s too boring to explore and also useless,I mean the average mall won’t get attention by the foreigner. Create an area which exempted to build a small anime town that selling anime and manga products such Akihabara. So many anime lovers in Indonesia ( including me). We can make a team work to make this things come true. Establish business accrding to anime word not only withdraw by passioned of being otaku or to get income,but also create new work place for so many people in Indonesia.
___Some of you must be think,this idea just attempt to copy whole things of Japanese economic style and worried that out country would get mocked of being copier. What if I anwer it with,”let it be” the hobbies can be owned by everybody around the world. But the main or the real major idea here is, to stimulate our people so they are who also has passion in art and entertainment sector,to develop. Who say by selling anime and manga things we only give more profits to Japan? Remember that Indonesia also can create anime with it’s own style !

1st Indonesian version of "Anime" by STMIK AMIKOM

Create an entertainment area of anime and manga not only offer profits by being reseller of other country product but also give chance to our people to be empowered,then probably someday we can have our own famous anime figure known as Indonesian,such Hello Kitty from Japan or Spiderman from USA.

Anime Fashion

_____Since the first time I attracted with anime world because I realize that anime also consist by fashion. About 1000 anime characters with different face and also outfits are make me enamored. Included by the accessories that the characters use,is make them look more mazing for me. Some people would like to copy their favorite anime character and they known as Cosplayers. Cosplay costumes vary greatly and can range from simple themed clothing to highly detailed costumes. It is generally considered different from Halloween costume wear, as the intention is to replicate a specific character, rather than to reflect the culture and symbolism of a holiday event. As such, when in costume, some cosplayers often seek to adopt the affect, mannerisms, and body language of the characters they portray (with "out of character" breaks). The characters chosen to be cosplayed may be sourced from any movie, TV series, book, comic book, video game, or music band anime and manga characters. Some cosplayers even choose to cosplay an original character of their own design or a fusion of different genres.

_____I always wanna be a cosplayer of this beautiful member of Japanese visual singer group, Vocaloid (Maybe you know Hatune Miku,if you don’t know Luka).
_____Having passion at Anime and also Fashion make me think that I wish I can be a costume designer but unfortunetly I can’t draw,(probably I need to take some courses).
United with another anime lover who able to draw,to imagine,have great idea of dress costumes and accessories,and who able to sew,or have tailoring business can make a new ,great business chance. Out there some people do this thing when they don’t even attracted with anime and make the outcome product look not too good.Some Indonesian cosplayers buy their costume from the overseas for their best performances. Create a brand new clothing or dress line according with attempt of anime and fashion also one option that can be apply in Indonesia. Range age of anime lover in Indonesia is start from 10 to 30 years old with all gender counted. So,the chance of creating this business idea might give high potential profits. If the idea of creating dress or costume for cosplay was very outrange,we still can change it by selling or creating brand accessories according to anime. And once again,both of this idea whether you want to apply it both or just one of them, it’s give us chance to create bi work field for lot of people in Indonesia. Well, who in ??

Another Chance field

_____Still in big level business,which it’s mean you need to prepare big mount of fund such I already mentioned before. But the options are still exist. Just how much I love food that also how much I wanna create a café or restaurant with anime themed. Having whole wall of café decorate by my favorite anime character and also Japanese and Indoneasian meal in pokemon bowls and plates are also my dream ( I dream too much,isn’t it?)

_____Now,most famous business for teenagers in Indonesia,start from few years ago. Sponsored by LINE application.Sticker shop. Line has about 1 million sticker,and mostly from Japan,and most bought strickers are stricker that related to anime,and even all of them are anime (Indonesian sticker creator also create a lot of sticker and sell in in Line app).
Unluckly,official sticker contained official anime character and voice not sell in Indonesia,that’s why people start using vpn to buy sticker from regional Japan. Some people who already subscribe vpn access,will easily get and buy stricker in every region including Japan. This people make it into small busniness that,according their confession,they get lot of profits. They also open reseller recruitment with low cost fee (around $3 to $8) . Well if you want to start small business and too lazy to prepare anything you can join to be the reseller. There’s so many or I say too many way to open business according to our own hobby especially related with anime world.
